A former professional golfer turned attorney, Rory received his law degree at Texas A&M with concentrations in energy law and water law. He graduated second in his class and was a member of the Texas A&M Law Review. Rory also earned a B.A. from Southern Methodist University with a double major in biology and psychology while playing Division 1 golf. Rory began his career in the energy industry as a landman developing mineral assets in the Haynesville Shale. This experience led him to become a project manager for a Texas public utility where he was responsible for the development, acquisition, and construction support of over 100 miles of new right-of-way for high-pressure gas transmission pipelines.
As an attorney, Rory has broad experience helping clients with their needs in contract disputes, lease termination, and title suits, surface access and damage disputes, and royalties. Rory also has extensive experience with trespass and eminent domain issues. As principal, Rory uses his industry and legal experience in consulting with clients to mitigate risk and streamline projects.
